These investments have not only contributed to the growth of the country’s economy but have also resulted in the creation of numerous job opportunities in various sectors.
Particularly, Australia’s investment in Vietnam has focused on 18 industries and fields.
The processing and manufacturing industry received the most, with 133 projects and a total capital of 954,68 million USD. The lodging and catering services sector followed closely behind, with 31 projects valued at 154,32 million USD. The agro-forestry-fishery sector ranked third with 25 projects amounting to 120,04 million USD.
In addition, 45 provinces and cities in Vietnam have attracted Australian investments.
Ba Ria – Vung Tau is leading the way with 16 projects and the highest total registered capital, up to 392,21 million USD. Ho Chi Minh City ranks second with 309 projects and a total registered capital of 231,12 million USD, while Ha Noi ranks third with 123 projects valued at 209,63 million USD.
Vietnam has received a significant amount of foreign direct investment in recent years, with 39,553 FDI projects worth 473.1 billion USD, with nearly 300 million USD of this being disbursed.
